Chimney Area Landscape

Garden_Isometric

We received today, via London Borough of Southwark, the above layout of the proposed landscape design to the Chimney Area.

Whilst certain elements such as stormwater drainage gulleys are not yet visible on the layout, and there is no planting proposed adjacent to Block C, it represents an improvement form the tarmac-only proposal originally tabled by Angel Property.

We will be passing our comments to LBS Planners - all residents are welcome to contact the JFRA direct or leave comments on the associated message board post.

(The 3-d view of the garden is provided by the Contractors London Crystal as a supplementary image to assist resident's appreciation of the planting proposal and garden layout and does not represent any change to the planned layout already posted erlier on this website.)

JPEG files of both new drawings can be downloaded if you follow the links below:

    Yann Ropers says:

    Hi,

I do not know who decided to design the garden like this but it looks like an unfriendly and not very welcoming corporate garden. It will have been much cheaper and better for everyone to have a square of grass and nice trees. We would have also been able to enjoy this garden this summer.

I think we have enough bricks and concrete around us all day long. 5 months of brickworks, this is appaling.
    What a pity!
