On Saturday 9^th June 2007 at 11am the Chaucer Safer Neighbourhoods Police Team will be at The Jam Factory.

We will be giving crime prevention advice to residents. This is in response to discussions with the JFRA following recent cycle thefts from the development.

We will be encouraging people to register the serial numbers of their property on http://www.immobilise.com.

Many different items can be registered including ipods, cycles, computers and jewellery! Registration of property helps the Police to return stolen items to their owners and also helps us prosecute offenders who are found with stolen goods.

If you don’t have access to the Internet the Safer Neighbourhood Team will register your property for you. Just bring us a list of your serial numbers!!  We will be located on the decked area near to the cycle racks.
